To be an accepting person, you need to understand and respect a person’s right to disagree with you and accept their opinion as “OK.” It is important to accept each other even though they might be a different color, religion, or ethnicity. Let's look for the good in each other and accept them for what they are and not what they aren’t. Being accepting of others means you have good character.
Practice understanding and empathy – the ability to put yourself in another person's shoes and see things from her perspective. This comes easily and naturally for some people. For others, it can be a challenge in situations that are uncomfortable or unfamiliar.
